Kochi: ‘Eesho’, an upcoming movie by director Nadarisha, that triggered social media flak from a section of socio-religious fundamentalists has hit another roadblock. The Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce has rejected the application seeking movie name ‘Eesho’, submitted by the producer.
The chamber has cited that certain mandates were not followed while filing the application. The name was not registered before the announcement and the producer has not renewed his membership in the forum, it reportedly stated. It is learned that though the application was rejected, there is no issue in releasing the movie through OTT platforms.
Earlier, Kerala High Court dismissed the plea submitted by a Christian organisation, named Christian Association For Social Action, against certifying the movie under the name ‘Eesho’.
