It has been just eight days since 'Dhurandhar' hit theatres, and the Aditya Dhar directorial continues its unstoppable run at the box office. The Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller crossed the ₹200 crore milestone within its first week, emerging as one of the fastest films in the actor’s career to achieve the feat.

Strong word of mouth, sustained footfalls, and rising curiosity around its sequel have ensured that the film shows no signs of slowing down.

By the end of Day 8, 'Dhurandhar' had amassed approximately ₹239.25 crore at the domestic box office, placing it firmly on course to breach the ₹250 crore mark in the coming days.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹32 crore on Day 8 (Friday), registering a solid growth of nearly 18.5 per cent over the previous day. With this, its total India net collection stands at ₹239.25 crore. The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 45.81 per cent on Friday.

While morning shows opened at a modest 19.64 per cent, attendance picked up steadily as the day progressed. Afternoon shows reported 37.37 per cent occupancy, evening shows rose to 53.08 per cent, and night shows peaked at an impressive 73.16 per cent.

With these figures, 'Dhurandhar'is now among the highest-grossing films of Ranveer Singh’s career. It has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Bajirao Mastani (₹184.3 crore) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (₹153.55 crore).

The film is also on the verge of overtaking Simmba, which earned ₹240.3 crore during its theatrical run. While Padmaavat remains Ranveer’s biggest grosser at ₹302.15 crore, 'Dhurandhar'is rapidly closing the gap and could soon emerge as his second-highest—or even highest—grossing film if the current momentum continues.

About Dhurandhar: Story, Cast and Part 2 Update

'Dhurandhar' is a gritty espionage thriller rooted in real political and historical events. Ranveer Singh stars as Hamza Ali, an undercover RAW agent sent deep into Karachi’s criminal underworld in the aftermath of the 1999 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament attack. The film also references the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, incorporating real audio recordings to heighten its emotional impact.

Hamza’s dangerous mission brings him into conflict with gangster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna), Pakistani ISI officer Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), and police officer Aslam (Sanjay Dutt), while R Madhavan plays Ajay Sanyal, the Intelligence Chief backing the covert operation.

Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, 'Dhurandhar'is directed, written, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. The film has earned praise for its intense performances, high-octane action, and politically charged narrative.

With 'Dhurandhar 2' already announced for a March 19, 2026, theatrical release, followed by a Netflix premiere after its cinema run, the franchise looks set to scale even greater heights.
