Asokan Charuvil is a writer known for his simplicity in writing and strong political narratives. Hailing from Thrissur, he was a staff at the Registration Department and was also a member of Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).
Sooryakanthikalude Nagaram, Parichithagandhangal, Oru Rathrikk Oru Pakal, Marichavarude Kadal, Kathakalile Veedu, Kangaruvinte Nritham, Chathuravum Sthreekalum, Jalajeevitham, Amazon, Kalpanikkaran and Karappan are his noted works.
He has bagged many honours including Cherukad Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Edasseri Award, Abu Dhabi Sakthi Award, C V Sreeraman Award, A P Kalakkad Award, V P Sivakumar Keli Award, U P Jayaraj Award, Padmarajan Award, SBT Award and Muttathu Varkkey Award.
