Anil Akkara is the member of kerala legislative assembly. Indian National Congress (I) Leader, he was elected to assembly from Wadakkanchery constituency. He was the president of Adat grama panchayath for seven years. During this tenure the grama panchayath had bagged plenty of awards. He had also served as president of the development standing committee in Thrissur district panchayath.
