Lyuba Yakimchuk is a poet, playwright, screenwriter and performance artist from Ukraine. She authored the poetry collections ' Apricots of Donbas' and 'Like Fashion. ' Wall' and 'Schrödinger's Cat' are her wellknown plays. She has written the scripts for the movie 'Slovo House: Unfinished Novel'. she also famed as a Songwriter and spoken word artist for the Ukrainian Songs of Love and Hate music album. Co-author of the libretto for the musical Freedom Letters (with a poet Mary Brnley; directed by Olesia Zdorovetska, Ireland). Her writing has been translated into more than twenty languages. Yakimchuk performed her poetry as part of John Legend’s performance during the Grammys. The French edition of Apricots of Donbas was invoiced by actress Catherine Deneuve as an audiobook for Éditions des Femmes, Paris. Lyuba has been named one of the one hundred most influential people in the arts in Ukraine by Kyiv's New Time magazine. Her works have been covered by The New York Times, BBC, CBC, and CNN.
