Filiz Aygündüz was born in 1971 in Istanbul. She graduated from the Department of Mathematics at Mimar Sinan University. She worked as a freelance journalist for art and women's magazines. She worked as a cultural and arts reporter and manager at Milliyet newspaper. She has three novels titled Teacher, How Many Breaks Left, The Prince Did not Like The Princess, I Want My Mother to See Me, and a conversation book called Let’s Talk About Life, which she co-authored with psychiatrist Alper Hasanoğlu. She still works as the editor-in-chief at Milliyet Sanat and Milliyet Kitap.
