Żanna Słoniowska is a Ukrainian-born Polish novelist and translator. Her prize winning debut Dom z witrażem [The house with the stained-glass window, 2015], a family saga set in Lviv during the turbulent 20thCentury, was praised by the Nobel Prize laureate Olga Tokarczuk and translated into ten languages, including English, Russian, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The English translation by Antonia Lloyd-Jones was published to critical acclaim in the UK by Quercus. Her second novel Wyspa [The Island] was published in 2019, and her next one will appear in 2024. Żanna Słoniowska has presented her writing in many international festivals and book fairs, and this is her third visit to India.
