A noted writer in Malayalam, Paul Zacharia is popular for his unique style of writing and high quality narratives. He hails from Meenachil in Kottayam. He was a teacher in Bengaluru MES College and Kanjirappilly St. Dominics College. Presently, he lives in Thiruvananthapuram.
Salam America, Oridath, Aarkkariyam, Oru Nasrani Yuvavum Gouli Sasthravum, Bhaskara Pattelarum Ente Jeevithavum, Enthundu Visesham Peelathose, Kannadikanmolavum, Praise the Lord, Govindam Bhaja Moodamathe, Then and Vazhipokkan are some of his important works. โA Secret History of Compassionโ is his debut English novel.
He has been honoured with many awards including Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Vallathol Award, JCB Prize for Literature, OV Vijayan Award and Distinguished Fellowship of Kerala Sahitya Akademi.
