T P Senkumar is a retired IPS officer. He was born in 1957 in Thrissur. He joined Indian Economic Service before joining Indian Police Service of Kerala cadre in 1983. He came to media attention after taking action in LIS financial fraud case.
He was appointed as the MD of KSRTC in 2006 and Kerala Transport Commissioner in 2010. He has served as ADGP of Intelligence wing and became the state police chief in 2015. He was appointed as the head of Police Housing Construction Corporation in 2016.
Later, he was reinstated as DGP in 2017 following a court verdict and he retired in the same year. He was awarded the Presidentโs Medal for Distinguished service in 2009.
