Novelist, short story writer. Currently Subhash Chandran is the chief subeditor of Mathrubhumi Weekly. He is the first writer to win Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for both debut short story collection (Ghatikarangal Nilaykkunna Samayam) and debut novel (Manushyanu Oru Aamukham).
He was honoured with many awards including Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Vayalar Award, Ankanam - EP Sushama Endowment Award, VP Sivakumar-Keli Award, Odakkuzhal Award, Kovilan Award and Crossword Book Award.
His major works are Ghatikarangal Nilakkunna Samayam, Parudeesa Nashtam, Thalpam, Manushyanu Oru Aamukham, Bloody Mary, Vihitham, Madhyeyingane, Kaanunnanerathu and Das Capital.
