P V Shaji Kumar is one of the noted young authors in Malayalam. He was born in 1983 in Kasaragod. Janam, Vellarippadam, Kidappara Samaram, Ullal and GLP Uschool Keekkangott are his collections of stories.
He has also authored memoirs titled Kalichampothiyilekk Oru Half Ticket and Itha Innu Muthal Itha Innale Vare. He penned screenplay for the movies ‘Kanyaka Talkies’ and ‘Take Off’ and dialogue for ‘Puthan Panam’.
Kendra Sahitya Akademi Yuva Award, SBT Award, New York Film Festival Award for the best screenplay, Kerala State Youth Commission’s Youth Icon Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi - Geetha Hiranyan Endowment, Shanghai Film Festival Award for the best screenplay and Anganam Award are some of the honours he received.
