Preeti has won the Ladlee Media Award for Investigative Journalism in India in 2015-16 for her series of stories on documenting the life of gang-rape victims.
A former market researcher, radio jockey and head of communication for ActionAid International Tsunami Project (disaster response), Preeti is known for her punchy scripts. She is half Tamil, half Bengali and is married to a Gujarati.
Her secret desire is to do an item number in a Tamil movie.
