A native of Alappuzha, Francis Noronha is a renowned short story writer and novelist in the post-modern Malayalam literature. His stories discuss the life of the marginalized people.
Kakkukali, Thottappan, Pennachi and Asaranarude Suvisesham are his major works. He is known for his realistic representation of downtrodden people. The story Thottappan was later adapted into film. Currently, he lives in Kochi.
