A leading dubbing artist in Malayalam film industry, Bhagyalakshmi is also known as an actor and social activist. She entered the film industry as a child artiste. She has anchored many television programmes.
Bhagyalakshmi has won Kerala State Film Awards and Film Critic Awards. Her autobiography Swarabhedangal had bagged Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2013.
