That’s exactly the kind of moment Google employee Viraj Chandra experienced recently, and his story is now going viral across social media.
Viraj, who joined Google India just three months ago, took his parents to visit the tech giant’s state-of-the-art Anant Campus in Bengaluru. Sharing his experience on the social media platform X, Viraj wrote, “Took my parents to @GoogleIndia Ananta - and now they think I just hang out in a 5-star resort every day. Can’t blame them, this place barely feels like an office.”
He also shared a heartwarming picture with his parents from the visit. The post quickly caught attention, with users flooding the comments section with congratulatory messages and admiration.
One user wrote, “It is very nice. They must be very proud of you. It is a warm feeling”. Another commented, “Wishing to post like this someday.”
Inside Google’s Anant campus, Bengaluru
The Anant Campus is Google’s fourth major office in Bengaluru and one of its largest campuses globally. Located in Mahadevpura, the name "Anant" comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "infinite", a fitting name for a facility designed to foster limitless innovation.
Spread over 1.6 million square feet, the campus can accommodate over 5,000 employees and is home to key teams including Android, Search, Google Pay, Cloud, Maps, Play, and DeepMind.
More than just an office, the campus is designed with inclusivity. The flooring is designed to be assistive for the visually impaired, while the central gathering space is named ‘Sabha’, meaning assembly.
The building is also equipped with cutting-edge facilities such as:
- Electrochromic glass at the front for energy efficiency
- Jogging tracks for employee wellness
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Wastewater recycling units
