YouTube star MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) has officially tied the knot with fellow content creator and author Thea Booysen in an intimate wedding on Richard Branson's private Necker Island. The couple, both 28, celebrated their marriage with around 70 close friends and family during a week-long gathering that began on July 14.

Guests spent the week enjoying island activities including kitesurfing, snorkeling, and meeting the island's resident lemurs and flamingos before the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony officiated by a family friend who is an ordained minister.

Booysen wore a custom Nicole + Felicia Couture wedding gown, while Donaldson chose a Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Celebrity wedding planner Marcy Blum oversaw the celebrations. At the reception, the newlyweds shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and ‘Bruno Mars' Die With a Smile’.

Guests were served sushi, Wagyu beef and fresh seafood, while the wedding cake was carrot-flavoured Booysen's favourite. The evening ended with live music before friends and family gathered for board games and card games, reflecting the couple's self-described "nerdy" personalities.

The pair first met in South Africa in 2022 through a mutual friend. "When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was... He wasn't sitting there with an ego," Booysen recalled. Donaldson said they "vibed instantly" over their shared love of learning before beginning a long-distance relationship.

The YouTuber proposed on Christmas Day in 2024 by disguising the engagement ring inside a gift after intentionally dropping a larger box to distract Booysen. Ahead of the wedding, Donaldson had said he wanted the occasion to remain private with only a professional photographer documenting the day.

Booysen called the celebration, "heaven," adding, "We were so happy, and there was so much love." She described the wedding as "really just a formality," saying the couple had always dated with marriage in mind and are now looking forward to their next adventure together.
