EPFO enables Annexure K online download and introduces Passbook Lite for simple PF transfers.

Annexure K is a crucial transfer certificate in the Employees Provident Fund (PF) system. It records member details, job history, PF balance with interest, and joining and exit dates. The document ensures PF accumulations and pension service are transferred correctly when employees switch jobs.
What has changed?
Earlier, Annexure K was available only on request and exchanged between PF offices, which often delayed transfers. Now, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made it directly available on the EPFO Member Portal. This reform, announced by the Union Labour Ministry, promises faster and more transparent transfers.
Why does it matter?
The new system allows employees to:
- Access Annexure K instantly.
- Check the status of their transfer application online.
- Confirm PF balance and service records in their new account.
How to download Annexure K
To download Annexure K, members need to:
- Log in to the EPFO Member Portal with their credentials.
- Go to the ‘Online Services’ section.
- Select ‘Track Claim Status’.
- Click on ‘Download Annexure K’ to get it in PDF format.
Additional facility: Passbook Lite
Union Labour and Employment Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has also launched ‘Passbook Lite’. This new feature allows employees to view a summarised record of contributions, withdrawals, and balances directly on the member portal — without going to the separate passbook portal.
Members can still use the existing Passbook Portal for detailed statements, including graphical views.
