Yash made a striking appearance at the ‘Ramayana’ LA premiere, pairing an all-black outfit with an elaborate gold brooch featuring Ravana's ten heads.

Actor Yash turned heads at the Los Angeles premiere of Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’, making a striking fashion statement with a gold brooch inspired by his character, Ravana. Dressed in an all-black ensemble, the actor added a mythological touch to his red-carpet appearance with an intricately designed accessory featuring the ten heads of the legendary king of Lanka.
The premiere, held at the David Geffen Theatre at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, brought together the film's cast and crew ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.
While Yash's sharply tailored outfit reflected his signature style, it was the elaborate gold brooch, complete with delicate hanging chains, that attracted attention. The actor paired his outfit with dark sunglasses, gold hoop earrings and his trademark beard, allowing the statement accessory to remain the highlight of his appearance.
Yash's 10-headed Ravana brooch steals the spotlight
The gold accessory featured a detailed representation of Ravana's ten heads, drawing inspiration from the mythological character Yash portrays in the upcoming epic.
In Hindu mythology, Ravana is often referred to as Dashamukha, or the ten-headed one. One interpretation associates his ten heads with his knowledge of the four Vedas and six Vedangas, reflecting his reputation as a highly learned ruler.
Other interpretations connect the heads to human emotions, including pride and desire, which ultimately contribute to his downfall.
The choice of gold also carried a symbolic connection to Ravana's kingdom of Lanka, traditionally described as a city of immense wealth and golden splendour. Meanwhile, the actor's black attire echoed the dark costumes frequently associated with Ravana in popular Ramleela performances.
Together, the elements offered a contemporary fashion interpretation of the character's grandeur and complexity.
Although the designer responsible for the brooch has not been officially identified, several reports have linked the styling to Yash's longtime stylist, Saniya Sardhariya.
Not the first time Yash has drawn inspiration from Ravana
Yash has previously incorporated mythological references into his promotional appearances for ‘Ramayana’.
During San Diego Comic-Con in July, the actor appeared in a black outfit featuring a gold brooch shaped like a trishul, or trident.
The accessory was seen as a reference to Ravana's devotion to Lord Shiva, whose trishul is among the most recognisable symbols associated with the deity.
While the Comic-Con accessory offered a relatively subtle connection to the character, the ten-headed brooch at the Los Angeles premiere made the reference more explicit.
Both appearances reflected Yash's approach to combining traditional symbolism with modern fashion as he prepares to portray one of the central figures in the Indian epic.
Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi join Yash at LA premiere
The Los Angeles premiere also saw several members of the film's cast and production team come together for the event.
Yash was accompanied by his wife, actor Radhika Pandit, who opted for an elegant green saree.
Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Rama, attended the premiere in a cream-coloured bandhgala, while Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, appeared in a pink saree with a golden border.
Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra were also present as the team interacted with the international media and fans.
The event marked another major promotional appearance for the ambitious production, which brings together prominent names from Indian cinema.
