While her red-carpet appearance drew attention, Swift had another special moment in store for guests. The singer took to the stage in a sparkling midnight-blue gown to perform ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ live for the first time.
The track features on her 2025 album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ and spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Swift also performed ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’, her original song from the ‘Toy Story 5’ soundtrack, along with fan favourites ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Love Story’.
Introducing the singer, host Conan O'Brien described her as a cherished member of the ‘Toy Story 5’ family before quipping, “She’s John, Paul, George and Ringo all in one.”
Swift is also campaigning for ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ in the Best Original Song category at the upcoming Oscars.
Taylor Swift Shares A Glimpse Of Her Special Night
Swift took to Instagram after the event to share her excitement about the evening, describing it as a night she would never forget.
“A night at the museum I’ll never forget! Thank you to the @academymuseum for inviting us!” she wrote.
The singer also spoke about reuniting with her band on stage, revealing that it was their first performance together in almost two years. “Getting to perform with the band again for the first time in almost 2 years was a VIBE,” she added, also mentioning that she got to sit with her ‘Toy Story 5’ family.
The private concert had been announced earlier in October as part of the star-studded gala, which honoured Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo and filmmaker-composer John Carpenter. The event's co-chairs included Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, while guests included Jacob Elordi and Sabrina Carpenter.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fundraiser raised more than $14 million to support the museum's exhibitions, educational initiatives and public screenings.
The performance marked Swift's first public musical appearance since August, when she attended an event at the Grammy Museum, performed a mash-up of her songs and spoke with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. about her music.
