Good news for those who want to take a trip to Wayanad. The newly inaugurated rest house at Sulthan Bathery is open to the public at a cost that is easy on the pocket. The two-storied resort has nine rooms including two AC suites and a mini conference hall with a seating capacity of 50.
PWD built this rest house at a cost of Rs 3.9 crore. Tourism Minister P.A Muhammad Riyas inaugurated the rest house . While inaugurating it, Riyas and spoke of how the government and the people have benefited from popularising PWD rest houses.
He added that Wayanad has recently witnessed an increased tourist footfall and arranging accommodation for them is a major responsibility. The new rest house will provide affordable and quality accommodation for travellers. The Minister also added that Rs 20 crore has been allocated for the renovation of eight rest houses in the state.
