Pathanamthitta: Heavy rains have led to restrictions on tourists visiting various destinations, including Gavi, an eco-tourism centre in Pathanamthitta district. Currently, only tourists booked under the Forest Department's package are allowed entry to Gavi, while others are prohibited.
Bookings to Gavi have been suspended due to the adverse weather conditions as informed through the Gavi-Kakki Eco Tourism website.
Similar restrictions have been imposed at the Ponmudi Ecotourism Centre, where travellers are not permitted until further notice, as announced by the Thiruvananthapuram Forest Officer.
Night travel is banned in hilly areas of Idukki district, and restrictions have been implemented near waterfalls and bodies of water to ensure the safety of tourists.
All tourist centres in Thrissur district, including Athirappilli Vazhachal, remain closed amidst the prevailing weather conditions.
