Mitra (name changed), hailing from Kannur, found solace in the compassionate embrace of Broseph, the one man army social worker of Bengaluru. Following her education in Kannur, Mitra embarked on an MBBS journey at a private medical college in Bengaluru. However, overwhelmed by the rigours of her studies and certain personal issues, she sought to withdraw from the course. Facing resistance from her parents, Mitra found herself in a quandary as they refused to fund her studies further. Turning to Broseph, whom she had heard of through friends, Mitra sought refuge and was graciously accommodated at the organisation's headquarters for a three-month period, until she was ready to take care of herself again.
Like Mitra, numerous individuals reach out to Broseph, seeking assistance even in the dead of the night, whether grappling with domestic turmoil or searching for a lost pet. But who exactly is Broseph?

St Broseph is the username that Dushyanth Dubey chose for himself when creating a Reddit account, unaware of how this name would evolve into a beacon of hope for those in distress years later. 32-year-old Dushyanth came to Bengaluru eight years ago and worked in an IT company. Driven by an innate passion, he immersed himself in volunteer work with various NGOs since the age of 20. His endeavours extended to city beautification projects, including the renowned Freedom Wall project in Bengaluru, which was emulated in various public spaces across Kerala as well. In 2023, he made the bold decision to transition into full-time social work.
Countless individuals from Kerala seek Broseph's guidance, often depending on Reddit's anonymity to voice their tribulations. Swiftly, fellow users recommend Broseph as a beacon of hope, capable of navigating legal complexities or providing mental health support.
Broseph has transcended from an individual to a full-fledged organisation-the Broseph Army-comprising approximately six thousand volunteers, with branches in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Plans for a Kochi chapter are underway, Dushyanth reveals.

With a meticulous grasp of legal intricacies, Broseph aids victims in filing complaints and overcoming bureaucratic hurdles, particularly empowering women fearful of reporting traumatic experiences such as sexual assault, harassment, or domestic abuse. For those seeking refuge, the organisation provides safe havens, free of charge, until they're prepared to resume normalcy. While rooted in Bengaluru, the Broseph Army extends its counsel and support nationwide, thanks to volunteers, including those from Kerala, dedicated to perpetuating Dushyanth's noble mission.
