
Kozhikode: This year’s Mathrubhumi book festival is all set for kick-off. Mayor Beena Philip will inaugurate it at 5 pm on Monday at KP Kesavamenon Hall here. The chief guest for the event, Balachandran Chullikkad, will release the deluxe edition of the novel ‘Samudrasila’ written by Subhash Chandran and published by Mathrubhumi Books.
The book festival will go up to January 15. It will witness book releases of famous writers and discussions with readers. Fr. Bobby Jose Kattikad, E Santhosh Kumar, N Sasidharan, PF Mathews, VR Sudheesh, K Suresh Kurup, Ajay Mangad, Joy Mathew, Ranjith, Innocent, Sibi Thomas, Fr. John Mannarathara and Rishiraj Singh will take part in the book festival.
