
Thiruvananthapuram: The Mathrubhumi Books Festival, a major highlight of the Mathrubhumi International Literary Festival (MBIFL’25), will take place at the Kanakakunnu Palace grounds in Thiruvananthapuram from January 31 to February 9. This grand event will feature an extensive collection of over five lakh books in both Malayalam and English, catering to the literary tastes of every book lover.
Visitors who purchase books worth Rs. 3000 will receive a one-day entry pass to the MBIFL, offering access to immersive experiences in literature, cultural discussions, and art. Those spending Rs. 5000 will enjoy a two-day entry pass to the festival, unlocking even more enriching experiences.
The festival will showcase works from prominent Malayalam and English authors, including Indian novelist R Rajasree’s ‘Aathreyakam’, P V Shajikumar’s ‘Maranavamsam’, Ajay P Mangattu’s ‘Deham’, as well as beloved classics like MT’s ‘Randamoozham’, Benyamin’s ‘Aadujeevitham’, and M Mukundan’s ‘Pulayappattu’.
The fair will also feature works by acclaimed authors such as Mini PC, C Radhakrishnan, M Krishnan Nair, and E Santhosh Kumar. Noteworthy new releases, including K Rekha’s ‘Manushyalayachandrika’, Salin Mankuzhi’s ‘Anandaleela’, and Lt. Colonel Dr. Sonia Cherian’s debut novel ‘Snow Lotus’, will also be available for purchase.
International literary giants such as Gabriel García Márquez, Colleen Hoover, Chetan Bhagat, and J.K. Rowling will be represented, offering timeless classics alongside contemporary bestsellers.
