Gracy bags Bal Sahitya Puraskar; Abin Joseph wins Yuva Puraskar

New Delhi: Malayalam author Gracy has bagged the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2020 instituted by the Kendra Sahitya Akademi. She won the award for her collection of stories titled ‘Vazhthapetta Poocha’. The awards for children’s fiction in other languages were announced in March.

The award comprises a purse of Rs 50,000 and a plaque. The date of award distribution will be announced later, the Akademi officials informed in a press release.

Meanwhile, the Yuva Puraskar of the Akademi also has been announced. Malayalam writer Abin Joseph bagged the award for his collection of stories titled ‘Kalyassery Thesis’. Along with him, Abhimanyu Acharya (Gujarati) and Komal Jagdish Dayalani (Sindhi) also were selected for the award.
