
Kalpetta: Milma has decided to offer fodder to dairy farmers at a subsidised rate as an Onam gift. The farmers will get the fodder at a Rs 100-subsidy per sack for 50 days.
The decision was announced by Milma chairperson K S Mani at its 51st annual general body meeting at Kalpetta Milma Dairy. The chairperson also stated that the Milma has unveiled various programmes aiming at increased milk production and for the welfare of the dairy farmers.
Milma has recorded an increase of 5.52 percent in milk and milk product turnover during 2023-24.
A team, including Ernakulam regional union chairman M T Jayan, Thiruvananthapuram Regional Union chairperson Mani Vishwanath, Milma MD Asif K Yousuf, visited the dairy farmers in the landslide-affected area of Wayanad.
