The Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE), Tamil Nadu, announced the TN HSE Plus 2 Result 2026 today, May 8, at 9:30 am. Students who appeared for the Tamil Nadu Class 12 board exams can check their scores on the official website- tnresults.nic.in.

Over 8.27 lakh students are waiting for their marks, pass percentage, topper details and district-wise performance. The TN HSE +2 examinations were conducted from March 2 to March 26, 2026.

Initially, officials had indicated that the results were still under processing and that a revised announcement date would be communicated later. However, the board has now confirmed that the TN Plus Two Result 2026 will be declared on May 8 at 9:30 am.

Students can access their Tamil Nadu Class 12 marks memo using their registration number and date of birth.

This year, a total of 8,27,475 students appeared for the examination, including nearly 7.99 lakh regular candidates and 27,783 private students. The exams were held in a single shift from 10 am to 1 pm. Students were additionally given 15 minutes to read the question paper before the exam began.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Tamil Nadu, the School Education Department has tied up with the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency to provide Class 12 board exam results through WhatsApp as well.

Students can access their TN HSE Plus 2 Result 2026 on WhatsApp by following these steps:

  • Send “Hi” to 7845252525 on WhatsApp
  • Select the department name and examination class
  • Enter registration number and date of birth when asked
  • The result will be delivered directly in the WhatsApp chat

What was last year’s TN Class 12 pass percentage?

Last year, the Tamil Nadu Board declared the Class 12 results on May 8 with an overall pass percentage of 95.03 per cent. Around 7.92 lakh students appeared for the exam, out of which 7.53 lakh cleared the board examination successfully.
