Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) has invited applications for the ‘KSCSTE Research Fellowship’.

The KSCSTE Fellowships are offered to the following subject areas: Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Environmental Sciences. There are 40 Fellowships.

Each selected candidate is eligible for a monthly fellowship of Rs. 31,000/- during the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- in the third year. The fellows are also eligible for an annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/-. House Rent Allowance (HRA) at the rate of 10% will be paid subject to conditions given in the Notification.

Applicant should have secured their qualifying degree (PG) from any of the Universities in Kerala in 2018 or later with 70% (65% marks for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD)/equivalent CGPA.
Upper age limit will be 35 years for all applicants as on the 1.12.2021.

The KSCSTE Research Fellow should register for Ph.D. Programme in any one of the Universities/recognised research centres in Kerala, not later than one year after the award of the fellowship. If he/she has already joined for research in any University or Research Centre, the Head of the Institution shall intimate the matter to the KSCSTE.

Selection: There will be an Online Examination as part of the selection process to be held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. There will be two papers for the entrance examination. Part A will be General Aptitude Test (20 Marks) & Part B will be subject specific (50 Marks). There is no negative mark. The total marks will be calculated by considering the marks in Online entrance examination (70 marks) and 20 marks from the Post-graduation degree marks.
