Thiruvananthapuram: The results for the Plus Two (Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary) examinations for the academic year 2023-24 were declared on Thursday.
The pass rate for regular students stands at 78.69%. A total of 3,74,755 students sat the exam in the regular category, with 2,94,888 qualifying for higher studies.
This year's pass percentage represents a decline of 4.26% compared to last year's figure of 88.95%. A noteworthy 39,242 students achieved A plus grades in all subjects.
The results were announced by General Education Minister V. Sivankutty.
Pass percentages by subject are as follows:
- Science: 84.84%
- Commerce: 76.11%
- Humanities: 67.09%
The district with the highest pass percentage is Ernakulam and the district with the lowest pass percentage is Wayanad. Malappuram district has the highest number of A plus and 105 students got full marks.
63 schools have achieved full pass, including 7 government schools.
The SAY exam will be held from June 12 to June 20. The last date to apply for the SAY improvement exam is May 13. The last date to apply for revaluation, photocopy, and scrutiny is May 14.
