New Delhi:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 post-result verification and re-evaluation portal went live early on June 2 after missing its scheduled June 1 launch amid technical concerns.

In a communication issued at 4:42 am on Tuesday, CBSE informed students that the portal had become operational.

It was not immediately known whether students were still facing technical issues while accessing the platform. Further details are awaited.

Portal launch delayed despite June 1 deadline

The portal was originally scheduled to go live on June 1. However, it remained inaccessible through Monday, leading to concerns among students and parents.

A CBSE official told ANI on Monday that the Class 12 post-result verification and re-evaluation portal, which had faced technical issues, “will start soon”.

Earlier, CBSE had announced that the portal would become operational from June 1, 2026.

“In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation,” the board had said in a press statement.

Students seeking clarification were advised to contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or email resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in.

CBSE had said portal would go live “soon”

On Monday afternoon, CBSE said in a post on X that the portal would go live “soon”.

Officials associated with the exercise also maintained that the launch would take place before midnight on June 1. However, the website had not been launched by the time reports were filed on June 2.

The post-result activities are meant for students seeking verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer sheets.

Board strengthened portal security after vulnerabilities flagged

On Sunday, CBSE said it had been monitoring vulnerabilities reported in the OnMark portal of its service provider and had deployed cybersecurity experts to strengthen the system.

“We have been closely monitoring the vulnerabilities in the OnMark portal of our service provider that are being flagged in the public domain. An expert team of cybersecurity professionals has been deployed over the last few days from across various arms of the government as well as the IITs to fortify these systems, including taking them over to a more secure set up. The identified vulnerabilities have been contained, and other exploitable weaknesses are being ruled out. We are grateful to all alert citizens and ethical hackers pointing out such weaknesses, and have gotten in touch with some of them directly,” CBSE said.

The development came amid reports of technical problems in the post-result portal and concerns over evaluated answer sheets.
