Tensions in the Middle East have escalated over the past several days, with ongoing conflicts affecting multiple countries in the region.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled all Class XII board examinations, including the previously postponed papers, in several Middle Eastern countries due to the ongoing Iran-Israel-US conflict.
The exams, which were originally scheduled from February 17 to April 10, 2026, will not be conducted in the affected regions as the board prioritises student safety amid escalating tensions.
The decision, communicated through a circular issued on Sunday, follows a series of earlier notices issued on March 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The Board reviewed the feasibility of conducting exams after receiving inputs and requests from schools and authorities in the affected countries.
All Class XII examinations scheduled between March 16 and April 10, 2026, have been cancelled for students in these regions. Exams that were previously postponed as per earlier circulars will also not be conducted.
CBSE has stated that the mode of result declaration for Class XII candidates in these countries will be notified separately.
