Bank of Maharashtra, with its head office in Pune and having a network of more than 2700 branches, has invited online applications for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, as amended from time to time.

The apprentices shall be imparted training as per the bank’s requirement. It is one of the most important schemes in terms of quality of training and experiential learning and consists of basic as well as on-the-job training/practical training. However, this is not employment in the bank.

There are a total of 600 positions distributed over 29 states/union territories. The number of vacancies in each State/Union Territory with details of the reservation is given in the Notification at https://bankofmaharashtra.bank.in/ (Careers > Recruitment Process > Current Openings)

Qualification: Applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute approved by the Govt. of India or its regulatory bodies. The applicant should be proficient in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the state/UT and should produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing one of the languages as the local language, which has been mentioned in the list provided for each state/UT as per the Annexure to the Notification.

Age: Age of the applicant should be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years. Age relaxation for the reserved category is applicable as per government guidelines.

The cut-off date for eligibility criteria and other details is 30.11.2025.

The duration of training is one year. The apprentice shall be imparted training between 10 am and 5 pm.

The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs. 12,300/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/benefits.

Application fees/intimation charges will be as follows:

(i) UR / EWS / OBC- Rs. 150 + GST

(ii) SC / ST – Rs. 100 + GST

(iii) PwBD- Exempted.

Payment has to be completed online by 25.01.2026. The process of registration is complete only when fee is deposited by 25.01.2026.

Selection procedure: The candidates have to register online applications with 12th percentage (HSC/10+2) / Diploma percentage. Merit lists for engagement of apprentices will be prepared state-wise in descending order on the basis of marks/percentage obtained in the 12th (HSC/10+2)/diploma examination. In case of a tie in percentage, candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit list.

Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit, verification of antecedents, and other formalities as decided by the Bank.

A waiting list (state-wise) will be maintained for one year.
