Naval Ship Repair Yard and Aircraft Yard announce 210 ITI apprentice vacancies for 2026 training

Applications have been invited from male/female Indian citizens who are ITI qualified in designated trades for enrollment into apprenticeship training at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar and Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa, under the Apprentices Act, 1961, read in conjunction with the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
A total of 180 vacancies are available for Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar and 30 vacancies for Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa.
Eligibility
(a) Educational Qualification: Applicant should have passed Matriculation and the relevant ITI trade recognized by National / State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT / SCVT). Those who have passed Matriculation for Non-ITI trades (Crane Operator Overhead [Steel Industry], Forger & Heat Treater) and Std VIII for Rigger trade can also apply
(b) Age: There is no upper age restriction for apprenticeship. Minimum age for enrolment as apprentice is 14 years for non-hazardous trades and 18 years for hazardous trades on the date of commencement of training on 13 April 2026. Accordingly, those born on or before 12 April 2012 are eligible for non-hazardous trades and those born after 12 April 2008 are eligible for hazardous trades.
Physical Standards
Applicants should satisfy the minimum standards of physical fitness specified in apprenticeship Rules.
Previous Training
Apprenticeship is a onetime opportunity to the candidates. Those who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act, 1961 in any other Govt. / Public Sector/ Private Industrial organization are not eligible to apply.
Period of Apprenticeship Training
Period of Apprenticeship training shall be as per Rule 7 and Schedule I of Apprentices Rules 1992.
Application
Those interested are required to register online on www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
On completion of online registration, applicants are required to forward the ‘Apprentice Profile’ along with the specified documents by speed / registered post to ‘The Officer-in-Charge, Dockyard Apprentice School, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Naval Base, Karwar, Karnataka - 581 308’ within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News. The documents to be attached include (a) Self-attested copy of Matriculation / 10th Class Mark sheet (b) Self-attested copy of ITI Semester-Wise Mark sheet and All Semester Mark sheet (c) Self-attested copy of Category certificate (for EWS/OBC/SC/ST candidates only) (d) Self-attested copy of Person with Benchmark Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates only) (e) Certificate from competent authority, if son / daughter of armed forces personnel / naval defence civilian employee (f) Certificate of undertaking stating the choice of establishment for undergoing apprenticeship training (Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar or Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa need to be clearly specified)
