ICAR-Central Institute of Coldwater Fisheries Research (CICFR), Bhimtal, Distt. Nainital, Uttarakhand 263136, has notified Walk-In-Interview for the engagement of various project positions at the Institute.

For one project, there is a position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and a position of Field Assistant.

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position, applicant should hold a master's degree in Fisheries Science (MFSc) or Life sciences or Environmental sciences with NET or qualified in any other national-level examination conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DCS, DRDO, NHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISc, ICAR, IISER, etc.

For position of Field Assistant, applicant should hold Bachelor of Fisheries Science/BSc Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences from a recognized university.

For second, there is a position of JRF. Applicant should hold a postgraduate degree in fisheries/animal/life sciences/zoology (M.F.Sc./M.V.Sc./M.Sc.) with specialisation in biotechnology/bioinformatics/computational biology OR a postgraduate degree in science (M.Sc) with specialisation in biotechnology/bioinformatics/computational biology OR an M.Tech. in biotechnology/bioinformatics/computer application & allied sciences. Applicants should have a minimum of 60% marks or a 7.0 CGPA during their master's degree and should be NET/GATE qualified.

The positions are purely on a contract/temporary basis. The duration of the project may be increased/decreased, and persons deployed will be co-terminus automatically with the termination of the project.

Age relaxation is applicable as per the rule for SC/ST/OBC/women candidates.

Walk-in interviews will be held at 10 am on 14.07.2025 at the Bhimtal Campus of the Institute.

The form can also be obtained from the reception counter of the office on the same day.

Self-attested photocopies of certificates of all passed examinations starting from matriculation have to be submitted before attending the interview with the duly filled application. A latest passport-size photograph affixed on the application containing bio-data along with a caste certificate should be produced with the application at the time of the interview. Experience certificates in original form, if any, must be produced before the interview.
