The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a new digital application portal

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has rolled out a new Online Application Portal from 28 May 2025, designed to simplify and accelerate the application process for candidates appearing for its various competitive exams.
The revamped system replaces the old One-Time Registration (OTR) module and introduces a streamlined four-part structure on the portal https://upsconline.nic.in.
The four parts include:
- Account Creation
- Universal Registration
- Common Application Form
- Examination Module
The first three sections can be filled out in advance, storing essential applicant details to avoid repeated data entry and last-minute rushes. Only the final section, which pertains to specific exams and notifications, needs to be completed when an exam is officially announced.
Candidates are required to freshly register on this new portal and re-upload all necessary documents. Aadhaar Card is strongly recommended as the primary ID for ease of verification and future access across all exams.
This new system will be implemented starting with applications for CDS Exam-II 2025 and NDA & NA-II 2025, both notified on the day of the portal's launch. Detailed instructions are available on the portal to assist candidates in completing their applications effectively.
