Refineries Division, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd; Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex, Panipat, Haryana; has notified the Engagement of Apprentices in various Trade disciplines.

The Trade disciplines, number of vacancies and eligibility are as follows: (i) Trade Apprentice/ Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) Chemical (59 vacancies)- 3 years B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) (ii) Trade Apprentice (Fitter) Mechanical (80) - Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade of minimum 2 years duration with Pass class (iii) Technician Apprentice Chemical (90) - 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg./Petrochem ical Engg./Chemical Technology / Refinery and Petrochemical Engg.  (iv) Technician Apprentice Mechanical (15) - 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engg (v) Technician Apprentice Electrical (65) - 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engg. / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (vi) Technician Apprentice Instrumentation (10) -3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engg/ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg, / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (vii) Trade Apprentice-Secretarial Assistant (10) - 3 years B.A./B.Sc/B.Com (viii) Trade Apprentice-Accountant (06) - 3 years B.Com (ix) Trade Apprentice- Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices) (12) -Class XII pass (x) Trade Apprentice- Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders) (05) -Class XII pass with Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’.

The prescribed qualification for Class XII / Graduate / Diploma holders should be from a recognized Board/ University/Institute as a regular full time course in the relevant trade/discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD category candidates for the seats reserved for them) in aggregate. For ITI qualification in the relevant trade, eligibility shall be pass marks. Only regular full time ITI course recognised by NCVT/SCVT shall be considered.

Age Limit: Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age shall be 24 years as on 31.10.2023 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation of upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates shall be as per Govt. guidelines. 

Reservation for SC/OBC/EWS/PwBD/EXM shall be as per Govt. directives. 

The date for the purposes of possession of qualification and meeting age criteria shall be 31.10.2023.

Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test of two hours’ duration, to be held on 03.12.2023 and meeting the notified eligibility criteria.
