Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Home Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Sector 14, Rohini, Delhi- 110085, Deihl-110085; has invited applications for filling the post of Junior Scientific Assistant (JSA) on a contract basis for a period of one year or till regular recruitment, whichever is earlier.

Junior Scientific Assistant will be assisting senior officers in examining forensic cases, helping in preparing reports, visiting/attending crime scenes, photography and videography of the scene of crime, identification, collection & preservation of scientific evidence available at the crime scene (24 x 7 shift manner) and any other work given by superiors.

The Posts and educational qualifications required are as follows:

Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology): Master’s degree in one of Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology, Human Biology, Life Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects or papers during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized university OR B.E./B.Tech. In Biotechnology from a recognised University.

Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensic): Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology/ Physics with specialisation in Electronics/Cyber Security from a recognised university/ institute or B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics Communication Engineering/Electricals & Electronics Engineering from a recognised university/Institute.

Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics): Master’s degree in Physics/Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subjects studied for at least two years/four semesters at the B.Sc. level from a recognised University.

Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry): Master’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects or papers during all three years of Bachelor of Science Level from a recognised University,

Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics): Master's degree in Physics/Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects or papers during all three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognised University.

Junior Scientific Assistant (Lie-Detection): Master’s degree in Psychology /Criminology from a recognised university.

Age limit: Not exceeding 27 years as on 15.01.2026. Age relaxation for OBC/SC/ST will be as per the government. Rules (OBC-03 years, SC-05 years, ST-05 years).
