K K Birla Goa Campus of Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani; an Institute of Eminence in India, has invited applications from academically bright and motivated Master’s/Integrated Master’s/Bachelor’s students outside BITS Pilani for the BITS Pilani Goa Summer Research Program (BGSRP) 2025. 

The Summer Research Program mainly aims to provide opportunities to students of Engineering, Science, Economics & Finance, Humanities & Social Science to spend two months during the summer to work on research project in the supervision of faculty members of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa campus and to interact with Scientists and Engineers on campus. 

The Summer Internship Programme is to be held in an offline mode at the BITS Goa Campus during the 2025 Summer from the 1st week of June 2025 to 4th week of July 2025.

Only a limited number of projects will be available for the internship and hence a limited number of students will be selected. The Projects available are given at https://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/goa/bgsrp/  

The selected participants will work on a specific project with a faculty member of the Institute. No financial support will be provided to the selected candidates. 

The ‘Interns’ are expected to benefit from exposure to the Research Institute’s functioning and its established ability to apply theory into practice and facilitate the young talents to choose a career path.

Eligibility: Applicant should be a citizen of India; pursuing UG / PG from a recognized University/Institution (India/Abroad). Those who have just completed UG/PG from a recognized University / Institution, seeking an internship opportunity (within six months from the date of award of degree) for profile enhancement can also apply. Applicant should possess an aggregate of minimum 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10 at all levels. 

Applicants should be from the disciplines of Engineering, Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Economics and Finance and related subjects. Preference will be given to candidates who are KVPY/DST INSPIRE fellows.

The final selection right lies with the concerned faculty member subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria and the project requirement. 

List of selected candidates will be uploaded on the BGSRP website in 1st week of April 2025. Selected candidates need to report to the BITS Goa campus in the 1st week of June 2025.

At the end of the internship, the student will be required to submit a project report and deliver a presentation in the department. A certificate will be issued at the end of the training, subject to delivering a final seminar at BITS Goa and receiving an endorsement from the project supervisor.
