Kochi: In a day and age where false news spreads like wildfire, Indian media is opening its arena to the need of maintaining truth and ethics in publishing news. In association with World News Day, ‘Mathrubhumi’ is organising a seminar called Sacred Facts to discuss some pressing issues taking place across the world.

We are living through a period where news is often poisoned by hate, falsehood amalgamated with truth and where governments are clutching their claws on the media in an unprecedented manner. Investigative journalism is increasingly disappearing and distorted realities are the norm. 

In such a disquieting world, debates like this are the need of the hour. Leading journalists of India will come together at this seminar to discuss varied issues including the effect of artificial intelligence on the media space.

The programme will be held at the Kaloor Gokulam Convention Centre, Ernakulam on October 8. Entry is based on registration.
