Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata & Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune; have invited applications for the Joint Entrance Test 2021 (JET 2021) for admission to the various Programmes offered by the 2 Institutes.

The Programmes include Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate of 1/2/3/ years duration.

Programmes: The Programmes at the 2 institutes have been classified into 3 Groups.

Group A: Producing for Film and Television; Animation Cinema; Art Direction & Production Design; Screen Acting; Screenwriting (Film, TV and Web Series); Electronic and Digital Media (EDM) Management

Group B: Direction and Screenplay writing, Cinematography, Editing, Sound recording and Design

Group C: Direction & Producing for EDM/Direction, Cinematography for EDM/Electronic Cinematography, Editing for EDM/Video Editing, Sound for EDM/Sound Recording and Television Engineering, Writing for EDM

Eligibility: For Art Direction & Production Design, eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Interior design or related fields in Fine arts or equivalent from a recognized institute. For all other courses, applicant should have Bachelors Degree in any discipline.

Selection: First stage of the Selection to the Programmes will be based on a Joint Entrance Test (JET) to be held on 18th December 2021 (afternoon) and 18th December 2021 (Sunday) (forenoon and afternoon). It will be a written test of three hours’ duration consisting of objective type and subjective questions carrying 100 marks. The structure of JET is given at https://applyjet2021.in/

Application: Applications can be submitted at https://applyjet2021.in/ by 11  p.m. on 2.12.2021. One can apply for one program from each group. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree, and awaiting results, can also apply for JET 2021 subject to conditions. Details are given in the Website/Prospectus.

The fee for applying for 1,2 and 3 courses are Rs.2000/-, Rs.3000/- and Rs. 4000/- respectively. For SC/ST, it will be Rs.600/, Rs.900/- and Rs.1200/- respectively. Fee can be paid online via Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Selection: On the basis of performance in JET-2021, the list of candidates short-listed for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective institutes. Each Institute is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria and follow different evaluation procedure, post the JET 2021 selection process.
