Department of Psychiatry, Govt. Medical College & Hospitals Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to M.Phil (Cynical Psychology) & M.Phil (Psychiatric Social Work) Courses session 2020-2022 and Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing Course session 2020-2021 under Centre of Excellence at Govt. Medical College Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh.
Eligibility for the three Programmes is as follows:
M.Phil (Clinical Psychology): Applicant should have Masters in Psychology with special paper in Clinical Psychology; securing 55% marks (50% for SC) from Panjab University/any other University. Those with MA/M.Sc by correspondence course or by distance education are not eligible. Duration of the course is 2 years
M.Phil Psychiatric Social Work: Applicant should have a Masters in Social Work with 55% marks (50% for SC): Duration of the course is two years
Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing: Duration of the course is one year. Applicant should be a registered Nurse (Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife) or equivalent possessing minimum of one year experience as Staff Nurse.
Selection: Selection to the Programmes will be based on Entrance Examination. Details are available in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from the Admissions link at www.gmch.gov.in
Application: Applications can be submitted online at http://gmch.gov.in/dpn-mphil-2019 latest by 5 pm on 14 October 2020. Application fee of Rs 500/- (General Category) / Rs 250/- (SC Category) can be paid online.
Stipend: Those selected to the M.Phil Programmes will be paid a monthly Stipend of Rs.12000/- while those selected to the Diploma Programme will get a stipend of Rs.2000/- per month.
