
National Power Training Institute (NPTI), National Apex Body for Training in Power Sector; Ministry of Power, Govt. of India has invited applications for admission to various Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDC) session 2023-24.
The courses are designed to improve knowledge in relevance to the present-day requirements and enhance skill of fresh graduate engineers/working engineers who wish to make their career in power and energy sector.
Program and eligibility for admission are as follows:
PGDC in Power Plant Engineering (one year) covers operation and maintenance of Power Plants viz., Thermal including Gas, Solar, Wind, Biomass etc., with exposure to on-job training for substantiation of Operational and Maintenance practices and concepts.
Applicant should hold B.Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Mechanical/ Electrical /Electrical & Electronics / C & I / Power Engineering or related branches
PGDC in Renewable Energy & Grid Interface Technologies (1 year) aims to equip the students with technologies, economics and policy involving energy systems and supply with Renewable Energy sources.
Applicant should hold B.Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Electrical /Electrical & Electronics / C & I / Mechanical / Power Engineering /Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/ IT or related branches
PGDC in Hydro Power Plant Engineering (9 months) covers all aspects of Hydro Power Plant Engineering including O&M, Erection, Commissioning, Management, Distribution of Electricity & Tariff.
Applicant should hold BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Engineering from a recognized College/University with minimum 60% marks.
There is no age limit for admission to PGDC courses.
A common merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared by NPTI, Faridabad on the basis of the % marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree and interview conducted by NPTI with 90% and 10% weightage respectively. Interview will be conducted through Telephone/conferencing App/online platforms. Applicants must submit their final degree/provisional degree certificate at the time of Counseling/Reporting.
Allocation of course in desired Institute will be done on the basis of Merit List subject to availability of seats at institute at the time of respective Counseling.
Application: Applications are to be filled online through Google Form link given in the Programme Prospectus at https://npti.gov.in/ (PGDC ADMISSION 2023-24 link), latest by 24.7.2023. Registration fee is Rs. 500/- to be paid online through State Bank Collect only.
