Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for Admission to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) 2024 in Government Nursing Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Government seats in various Self-Financing colleges.
Program is available in Government Nursing Colleges in the following Specialties (i) Medical Surgical Nursing (ii) Community Health Nursing (iii) Child Health Nursing (iv) Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing and (v) Mental Health Nursing. The distribution of seats is given in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from www.cee.kerala.gov.in
List of Self-Financing Colleges included in the process will be finalized after their entering agreement with Government.
Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen of Kerala origin. Sons/daughters of Non-Keralite parents, who have obtained B.Sc. Nursing degree from any of the Nursing Colleges in Kerala State as well as those who are not of Kerala origin but have been a resident of Kerala for a minimum period of five years can also apply but they will not be eligible for communal/PD Reservation benefits.
Applicant should have a recognised, regular (i) Bachelor Degree in Nursing or (ii) Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree after passing General Nursing and Midwifery Course with Plus Science Subjects, with minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, SEBC and PD candidates). Those with Distance/Correspondence Degree are not eligible. Applicant should have obtained registration from Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council or from the concerned Nursing Council of the state from where they have qualified.
Experience: Applicant should have completed one year of experience on 18.07.2024. Details of the nature of experience is given in the Notification and Prospectus.
Age: Upper age limit is 46 years for General candidates and 49 years for Service candidates as on 18.07.2024.
Application: Applications including those of Service category can be submitted latest by 26.07.2024 through the link ‘PG Nursing 2024-Online Application’ at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
Application Fee is Rs. 1050/- for General Quota candidates and Rs. 525/- for SC/ST candidates. For Service quota applicants, it is Rs. 1050/-. General quota candidates seeking admission in service quota should pay an additional amount of Rs. 1050/-. Fee can be remitted online using internet banking/credit card/debit card. Print out of Application Acknowledgement page or any other supporting documents need not be sent to Office of the CEE.
Service quota candidates: Service candidates after applying online to the CEE should forward a copy of the Application Acknowledgement page along with all required documents including their service details to their Controlling Officer (DME/DHS/IMS) concerned to reach on or before 26.07.2024.
Entrance Examination: All applicants including Service quota applicants must appear for the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the CEE at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikkode on the date and time to be notified later. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 2 hours duration with 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The scheme of entrance examination, syllabus and the instructions to the candidates are available in the Prospectus.
Rank List: CEE will publish the rank list of qualified candidates who appeared in the Entrance Examination. Service quota candidates must qualify by securing 40% marks in the Entrance Examination to be included in the Service quota list.
Allotment of seats including those under Service Quota will be made by CEE through the Centralised Allotment Process as per the conditions in the Prospectus. Seats in Government Colleges are categorized under State Merit Quota, Physically disabled quota, SEBC Quota, SC/ST Quota, Service Quota & EWS Quota. Government seats available in Self-Financing Colleges are categorized under Merit Quota, SEBC Quota, and SC/ST Quota.
Allotment and admission to all Colleges / Courses will be subject to approval of central and state regulatory bodies, universities, and the government.
