National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), NH-9, Kukatpally Industrial Estate, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500037, has invited applications for the NIPER Joint Entrance Examination 2020 for admission to the M. Tech. in Medical Devices, offered by NIPERs at Guwahati, Hyderabad, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)

M.Tech. in Medical Devices course is intended for those who are passionate to find innovative solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. The programme is multi-disciplinary in nature and students from pharmacy, engineering and medical disciplines are eligible to opt for the course. The course is designed to contain topics related to biology, chemistry, mathematics, clinical science and engineering which are essential for developing Medical Devices. The course will also contain one-year project work aimed at developing prototypes of various Medical Devices.

There are 10 seats at each centre. 5% of seats shall be available for applicants sponsored by Government Departments/ Research and Development Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings/Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold B.Pharm/Pharm D/ M.Sc/ B.Tech/ B.E/ M.B.B.S/ BDS/ B.V.Sc degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale. Applicant must have valid GPAT/GATE/NET Score. Those holding B.V.Sc./M.B.B.S./ BDS degree, those sponsored by Public/Private sector undertaking, Govt. departments as well as R & D organizations are exempted from GPAT/GATE/NET score.

Those awaiting their final year results need to forward confidential results from official email ID of respective competent officials of College/Institute/University to e-mail ID: admissions@niperhyd.ac.in before final counselling. Those appearing for final qualifying examinations may also apply, but they should produce final result and mark sheets of qualifying degree at the time of online Counselling.

Application: Applications are to be registered online on www.niperhyd.ac.in as per the instructions given on the website, latest by 22 November 2020. Instruction for Registration is available on www.niperhyd.ac.in. Registration Fee for Gen/OBC/PH/NRI applicants is Rs. 3000/- and those from SC/ST, Rs. 1500/-.

Selection: Selection to the Programme will be based on an Online Entrance Test (Computer Based Test) to be conducted on 4th December 2020, at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Patiala and Bhubaneshwar.
