Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), has re-opened application submission facility following lowering of the minimum qualifying percentile for Counselling for PG Dental (MDS) Course being done by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The NEET- MDS- 2023 minimum qualifying percentiles has been lowered by 31.807, across all categories by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The revised eligibility (Percentile) is as follows: General - 18.193; SC/ST/OBC (including PwD of SC/ST/OBC)- 8.193; Persons with Disability(UR) - 13.193.
In accordance with the same, the online application submission facility based on the revised minimum qualifying criteria for PG Dental-2023 courses in Government and Self-financing Dental Colleges in Kerala will be open up to 3 pm on 28.09.2023. In this phase of online application submission, only those candidates who have freshly qualified as per the revised qualification criteria will be able to submit the applications.
Applicants should also satisfy all eligibility conditions as specified in Clause 4 of the prospectus. In-service candidates newly qualified as per the revised NEET-MDS qualifying criteria can also apply if they satisfy the eligibility conditions as specified in Prospectus clause 11.
Those who have applied for the PG Dental Course Allotment 2023 vide Notification dated 12.07.2023, but were excluded from the merit list due to the failure to upload the relevant documents in the stipulated time to substantiate their claim, will not be allowed the category reservation, even if they submit relevant documents in this stage. Such candidates can participate in the allotment process under General Category only.
Those submitting fresh applications with any community reservation claim and with a percentile higher than the 39th percentile and lower than the 50th percentile and candidates submitting fresh applications in the PwD Category with a percentile higher than the 44th percentile and lower than the 50th percentile will be considered as General Candidates even if they submit the required certificates and documents in proof of their claim.
Candidates can avail the application submission facility through the link ‘PG Dental 2023 – Re-Opening Online Application’ at www.cee.kerala.gov.in latest by 3 pm on 28.9.2023.
Newly qualified candidates who wish to apply for Community and Minority quota, NRI seats in self-financing Dental Colleges should also upload the certificates from the authorities concerned and all other valid and relevant documents in support of the claim. Newly qualified candidates, who find a place in the rank list, can participate in the third phase allotment subject to the condition that none of the allotments/admissions carried out in the previous allotments are disturbed.
