
Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has commenced the activities related to the Online Special Stray Vacancy Allotment to the vacant seats in Post Graduate Dental Courses-2024 in Dental Colleges in the State.
This allotment will be conducted to fill up the currently available General Category vacant seats and vacancies arising, if any. The details of net vacant seats after the 1st stray round is published at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
Candidate may register options to any seats they wish to join, if allotted, irrespective of the vacancy status notified. Reservation /Category seats are not available, as the unallotted seats were converted during the final phase of centralised allotment as per MDS Prospectus 2024 clause 18.1.1.
Those who were in the eligible candidate list published by CEE on 10.09.2024, but currently not holding any allotment/admission can register options in this phase.
Those who have applied afresh for admission to PG Dental Course as per revised eligibility vide CEE office Notification dated 30.09.2024 can also register options for being considered in this special stray vacancy allotment. However, those eligible candidates who are included in the Kerala State Merit List will only be considered for allotment. The State Merit List of the newly qualified candidates due to lowering of the percentile will be published.
The options for admission to PG Dental Courses 2024 in the State can be registered at www.cee.kerala.gov.in till 11.59 pm on 18.10.2024. There will be fresh option registration for special stray vacancy filling round. Candidates may enter their Application Number & Password in the link ‘PG Dental 2024 Candidate Portal’ provided in the above website to log on to their home page. By clicking the menu ‘Stray Vacancy Registration’ candidates can register their options. The allotment will be based on the rank list and the online options received up to 11.59 pm on 18.10.2024.
Stray Vacancy Allotment (Provisional) will be published on 19.10.2024 and Stray Vacancy Allotment (Final) on 20.10.2024. Those who get allotment should join the allotted colleges by paying the fees to the allotted college, during 21.10.2024 and 11 am on 25.10.2024.
The following categories of candidates are not eligible to participate in this Special Stray Vacancy Allotment: Candidates who (i) have vacated the seat after 4 pm on 23.08.2024 (ii) have been included in the MCC list of allotted/admitted candidates after the first stray round allotment (iii) have joined the allotted seats through the allotments conducted by CEE and are still continuing in the allotted seat (iv) have been allotted seats in the first round of stray phase and (v) already hold a seat/joined or allotted through AIQ/ State Counselling including Private/Deemed quota seats.
Registration fee
There will be separate Registration fee for special stray vacancy counselling. It will be the annual tuition fee of the seat opted, if opted only for government seats, or an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only), if opted also for private self-financing colleges. Those who have paid Registration fee to the CEE in previous rounds of counselling, but have not been allotted any seat, must pay the balance amount, if any, as Stray Vacancy Registration fee. Those who got allotment in first /second round but did not join and those who vacated the seat in the first and second round allotments must pay registration fee afresh as mentioned above. For SC/ST/OEC and other eligible candidates having fee concession, the registration fee will be half of the above amounts respectively.
The registration fee paid for special stray vacancy allotment will be adjusted in the fee of the course, if the candidates get an allotment or else will be refunded after the end of counselling. The registration fee paid for special stray vacancy phase of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted in special stray vacancy filling allotment will be treated as penalty and will not be refunded. Liquidated damages will also be applicable as per MDS 2024 Prospectus clause 19.5.
Candidates allotted to courses, and who remit the fee/balance fee as prescribed, should take admission in the college/course allotted as per the schedule prescribed by the CEE. Extension of time for reporting to the college will not be granted.
