Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management, Sector 42-D, Chandigarh; an institute sponsored by Govt of India and Chandigarh Administration and affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management, Noida, has invited applications for admission to the different Trade Diploma Courses of one and a half year duration.
Programmes: The courses are (i) Food Production (70 Seats) (ii) Bakery & Confectionery (30) (iii) Front Office Operations (35) (iv) Food & Beverage Service (70) (v) House Keeping Operations (35)
Eligibility: The minimum qualification tor admission is 10+2 with English (pass). Applicant should not be over 25 years for General/PH applicants and not over 28 years for SC/ST applicants, as on 1 July 2020.
The admission will be on the bases on marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
Application form: Prospectus containing application form and other details is available at www.cihmct.com. Application Forms can be downloaded from the website.
The last date for receipt of filled application at the Institute through Speed Post/Regd. Post only, is 7 August 2020. Applications should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs 250/-.
Applications will not be received in office through person.
The merit list will be displayed on 11 August 2020 on the basis of 10+2 marks at www.cihmct.com with the counselling schedule for the allotment of seats. In case of selection, fee will have to be deposited on the spot failing which seats will be given to the candidates next on the merit list.
The second counselling to fill up the secant seats, if any, will be held on 14 September 2020.
15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST, 5% for PH Candidates and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per Govt Guidelines. Limited Seats are available in the hostel for outstation boys and girls which will be allotted on the basis of rank in the merit list.
Merit-cum-means Scholarships are available, details of which are available in the office.
Academic Session will commence on 1 September 2020.
