Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), an Institution of National importance, having its twelve campuses located at Noida, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Rohtak, Chhindwara, Guna, Jodhpur, Ankleshwar, Banur, Patna and Hyderabad, has invited applications for admission to its Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs for 2024-25.

FDDI has been engaged in nurturing talent and fostering growth in the dynamic sectors of Footwear, Leather Products, Retail, and Fashion Design. FDDI offers Bachelor and Master Degree programmes in the areas of Footwear Design & Production, Fashion Design, Retail & Fashion Merchandise and Leather Goods & Accessories Design, besides offering short term Industry specific programmes.

Bachelor Programs: Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) of 4 years (8 Semesters) duration is offered in (i) Footwear Design & Production (ii) Fashion Design (iii) Leather, Lifestyle and Product Design.  Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) of 4 Years (8 Semesters) duration is offered in Retail & Fashion Merchandise.

Masters Programs: Master of Design (M.Des) of 2 Years (4 Semesters) duration is offered in (i) Footwear Design & Production (ii) Fashion Design. Master of Business Administration (MBA) of 2 Years (4 Semesters) duration is offered in Retail & Fashion Merchandise.

Eligibility: B.Des. / BBA: Applicant should have passed 10+2/equivalent course in any stream, from any recognized Board or AICTE approved three years’ full time Diploma after Class X offered by Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory.

The age limit for admission to the Bachelor’s programme is 25 years as on 1.7.2024. 

M. Des/MBA: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. There is no age limit for admission to the Master’s Degree Programmes.

Selection: Selection to Bachelor and Master Degree Programs will be based on an All India Selection Test (AIST) which would be a Paper Based Test (PBT) to be conducted on 12th May 2024. 

AIST for UG Programs will have questions to test Analytical Ability, Business Aptitude, Design Aptitude, General Awareness, Comprehension, Grammar, Usage, etc.

AIST for the Master's Program will have questions to assess Analytical Ability, English Comprehension & Grammar, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Management Aptitude & Design Aptitude.

Application fee is Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ ST/ PWD Category) to be paid online. Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination can also apply subject to attaining eligibility before the 30th September 2024.

Application can also be submitted online with an additional late fee of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- in case of SC/ ST/ PWD Category) till 30th April 2024. 

Applicants may keep a printout/photocopy of Application Form for further reference along with proof of payment. 

Window for editing forms will be available during 1st to 2nd May 2024. Admit cards will be available from 6th May, 2024. Successful candidates will be called for the counseling in order of their rank based on aggregate score in All India Selection Test (AIST) 2024. The programme & campus will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their rank and preference.
