Applications have been invited from females only, for admission to the 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing in 2021 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services.

The Programme is conducted at CON at AFMC Pune (40 seats); CH(EC) Kolkata (30); INHS Asvini (40); AH (R&R) New Delhi (30); CH (CC) Lucknow (40); CH (AF) Bangalore (40) (Total 220 seats)

Eligibility: Applicants should female Indian Citizens who are unmarried/divorced/legally separated/ widow without encumbrances. Applicant should have been born between 1st October 1996 and 30th September, 2004 (both days inclusive).

Applicant must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body. Those who will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally subject to submission of proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the Course.

Physical standards - Medical fitness will be determined as per standards

Selection Process: Selection will be based on a Computer Based Examination of 90 minutes’ duration and carrying 150 marks, likely to be held in April 2021. The Computer Based Examination will consist of 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark from each of General English; General Intelligence and Science (Biology, Physics & Chemistry). There shall be no negative marking

Those qualifying in Computer Based Examination will be called for interview & Medical Examination in the month of Jun 2021 at- selected centres. The Interview has a maximum weightage of 100 marks.

Final selection will be based on the combined merit of Computer Based Examination & Interview, subject to medical fitness of the candidate, choice & vacancy in each College. The details regarding reservation of seats is given in the Notification at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

Admission in Colleges of Nursing will be based on the merit cum choice, subject to medical fitness and the vacancies in each College. Selected candidates have to execute an Agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend. Subsequent to passing the final year University examination for BSc (Nursing) Course, the candidates will be offered Permanent/Short Service Commission in Military Nursing Service subject to medical fitness. They shall have to refund the Bond money as per the Bond executed in the event of withdrawal from the Course, termination of training or refusal to accept Commission in the MNS, if offered.

The date of declaration of result from respective Universities will be the date of Commission for the candidates.

Application: Application can be submitted online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 17th February 2021 to 5 pm on 10th March, 2021. Eligible applicants will be able to pay the online application processing fee of Rs 750/-. On successful completion of online payment, a bank reference number (DU Number) will be generated for future correspondence.
