Indian Army has invited applications from unmarried males for admission to the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) course commencing in July 2025, leading to the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.  

Eligibility: Applicants should satisfy the eligibility conditions on Nationality given in the detailed Notification at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Age Limit: Applicant must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on 1.7.2025. Applicant should not be born before 02 January 2006 and not after 01 January 2009 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification: Applicant should have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from recognized education boards. PCM percentage calculation of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only. 

Applicant must have appeared in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Mains) 2024.

Vacancies: There are 90 vacancies.  The Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the Cadets Training Wings for this course. 

Training: Total training will be of 4 years as follows: (a) Phase-I. Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training at CME,Pune/MCTE, Mhow/MCEME, Secunderabad for three years (b) Phase-II. Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for one year at IMA, Dehradun or designated PCTA (Pre Commission Training Academy).

Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of 04 (four) years training. No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During the entire training duration of four years a maximum of two relegations will be permitted on account of academic grounds in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation on academic grounds will lead to withdrawal from training.

Cost of Training: The cost of training will be Rs. 13,940/- (as on 2021) and as notified from time to time per week (for the period of candidate’s stay at Cadet Training Wings/Indian Military Academy Dehradun.) The cost of training borne by State; will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons.

Type of Commission: On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.

Application: Application can be submitted online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in latest by 1200 hrs on 6 November 2024. Candidates are required to indicate exact PCM percentage of Class 12th up to two decimals and are not to be rounded off and also application number for JEE Mains 2024 for B.E/B Tech Course only.

Selection: The application will be screened at Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) and the candidate thereafter will be detailed for SSB. Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB interview tentatively to be scheduled from Feb/Mar 2025 onwards. 

For SSB interview, print out of online application must be accompanied by original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies-  10th class certificate issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/ State Boards/lCSE) in which date of birth is reflected for proof of date of birth (Admit card/Mark sheet/Transfer/Leaving Certificate etc. are not acceptable as proof of date of birth) and 10+2 certificate and mark sheet for proof of education and a copy of result of JEE (Mains) 2024. Revised mark sheets issued by a Board/University after last date of submitting online application will not be accepted for this course.
